Read the Standards, review the Standards Worksheet and all of the portfolio directions.          
Plan your calendar and timeline.          
Get Student and Adult Release Forms signed, as needed.          
Work on the writing practice activities in Get Started.          
Use your Communication Log for Documented Accomplishments.          
Describe your accomplishments and collect documentation for Documented Accomplishments.          
Videotape classes, and collect student work samples.          
Review your videotapes and student work samples.          
Select your videotapes and draft your Written Commentaries for them.          
Select your student work samples and draft your Written Commentary for them.          
Do self-assessment of your entries.          
Begin final drafts of your Written Commentaries.          
Begin final draft of your Reflective Summary.          
Complete final drafts of your Written Commentaries.          
Complete final draft of your Reflective Summary.          
Gather all materials for the four entries.          
Copy your materials and retain the copies in a safe location. Prepare your portfolio and refer to the directions in Pack & Ship for important information about assembling and returning your portfolio to NBPTS.

Collect two students' responses to two assessments. The assessments should be related to a unified area of career and technical study, be drawn from different points in time, and differ from one another in structure or form. Complete a Written Commentary analyzing the students' responses and reflecting on your teaching.
